Ever wondered what life would be like from the perception of someone other than yourself? You probably come across numerous people everyday who interpret things differently.
We tend to pick up the good and the bad from people we meet. But, how many times have we understood that life lessons that we see everyday?
This post will showcase the life lessons I have come across and which are important to understand what life is really about.
1. We often are found in situations where we're not happy. We are told to find happiness - which to an extent is extremely important. But how many times have you met someone who says "Remember to get a job that you love." In all reality, as much as that statement is true, we tend to find faults in something we love as well which is a human nature. The truth is even the "right job" you will love some days and will only tolerate some days. Most of us don't have the job we love but we have to remember that our mental peace is equally important and to cherish things we love thoroughly even on bad days.
2. Years are passing at the blink of an eye. Don't marry only because of society pressure. Marry when you're truly ready and found someone who you can not imagine your life without. Live your life, go explore new places, make new friends, travel if you can - it doesn't have to be a place outside country. Go out to your backyard, feel the grass between your feet, look at the sunset. Find meaning in everyday boring life. Live for yourself, cherish daily things - your time is so limited, do what you love.
3. Don't take life too seriously, no matter how hard things seem - laugh at the dark and hopeless scenario you have, try and laugh at how much of a roller coaster our lives are.
4. A true friend will always run to you at 2 a.m. when you're in need - everyone else is just a passing phase in life.
5. One of the most important relation you will have in your life is the person who willingly agreed to spend their life with you. Treat them with utter most love and respect always.
6. If you have kids, then remember they grow up really fast. The time you spend with them is going to be the most valuable to them.

7. A harsh truth, no one who is on their deathbed will say " I wish I had worked hard or I had more money. Don't make your life about all those superficial things. Prioritize your life in a way that you have time for your family, friends, any important relation you have in your life and most importantly take the time out for yourself.
8. Take a deep breath and relax. Stop worrying about your past, it's gone. Stop worrying about your future, it's not here yet. Cherish your today because it's a gift, it's your present.
9. Do the things you love. You don't want to be on your deathbed thinking " I wish I did this!"
10. Honestly, don't take people's advise as a holy bible. Your life is based on your circumstances. Listen to everyone but do what is best for you.
11. Don't fall in love with materialistic things - fall in love with time and experiences that will make you grow. Life is your greatest teacher.
12. Call your parents, spend time with them. We're so busy in our lives that we forget they are growing old as well. They need us more than ever. Give them your time.
13. Jealousy destroys relationship. Trust your partner and if they mess up - then it's their loss. It's never yours remember that because they made the choice to mess up while you trusted them. If your partner makes you feel alone and vulnerable then the best advise is to leave. You deserve way better.
14. If you dream of being or wanting to do something that seems totally impossible then go for it anyway. It will seem impossible even more as you age and will have responsibility of other things & people.
These are 14 lessons to understand in life. A lesson in life is to remember that everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by just a chance. Life is not fair but it's definitely something to cherish. There is someone who is counting their last breaths and is wishing they had one more chance. Your job will not take care of you when you're fighting an illness or sick - your loved ones will, so cherish them and keep them in your life. Make peace with your past - you don't want that lingering in your present/future. Don't think everyone's life is wonderful - you have no idea what someone is dealing with. Every problem that you have, ask your self "Will this matter in few years?" What people perceive of you is none of your business - people interpret according to what they understand, don't entertain them. You only get one childhood - don't be in such a rush to grow up. Most importantly, life does not come with a ribbon but somehow it still is a gift of today. Cherish it.

This is life through my rose colored glasses.
