What I wish I could tell my younger self

Do you remember when as a child you learned to walk? Do you remember when it was your first day of school? Do you remember when you loved playing outside waiting on those summer vacations? Do you remember when you first graduated? Most importantly, do you remember when you couldn't wait to grow up and start "making money and living up?" We all got fond memories of our childhood. Childhood was the time when we all  were worried about was the next food choice, or the next game we will be playing. As we grew up we started realizing what adulthood is really about. All of us has a part in our heart that still has nostalgic memories of our childhood.

In today's days we all got something that we wish we could've known or could have told our younger self. This blog is based on things that I wish I could have told my younger self.

1. Enjoy the present moments - One day you will grow up and not have the same moment again. Don't forget to dream and take steps to achieve them. Don't keep saying or putting things off to tomorrow - DO IT TODAY!!! Most importantly, notice the things around you, the people around you.

2. Let it go and let things pass -  Forget people who leave, let go of things you can't control, let your expectations fail sometimes and grow from them. Let go of things you can not change. Don't waste your energy on emotions that are beyond your control.

3. Believe in yourself no matter what -  No one in this world is going to believe in you as much as you will believe in yourself. Do yourself a favor and support your dreams and ambitions because that is one thing no one can take from you. Have enough confidence in you that no matter what you never give up.

4. Money is not the only important factor - when you grow up you will have bills to pay, pay for the house, and pay for a lot of other things. But always remember money won't always be able to buy you happiness, Yes - it will buy you a bed but not sleep, it will buy you lust, attraction but not love. It will buy you medicine but not health. Yes, you can have a nice job but the same job will put up a hiring post quicker than your funeral start. Take care of yourself and your health. Find something you enjoy doing.

5. Life is not a race or a timeline -  As we grow older we all have numerous things we want to achieve and do. We have numerous things we believe we should do in a given timeline. The correct time to graduate, to get a job, to marry, to have kids etc etc. We  fail to realize that life is not a ticking time bomb that we base it on a timeline of race. People change careers at 40s as well it's okay if you have not made it yet, just keep believing and working hard and you will have all in correct time. I can't say it enough that life is not a race so stop competing with your friends, your neighbors, your classmates, your co-workers, and your relatives.

These are few points that I wish I could have told my younger self. Enjoy growing up and learning new things don't be in such a rush to grow up. Life is about enjoying the moments so just breathe and take in the days and years as they come.

This is life through my rose colored glasses.
