One day you will wake up and there won't be anymore time to do the things you've always wanted, perfectly said by Paulo Coelho. This quote inspires me to start doing things that I love to do. Often times we forget to live and do things that we love and just find our peace in materialistic things. If today was your last day, what is one thing that you wish you had done? We live in a world where materialistic possessions have more significance than things that we gather in experience. I believe every waking moment is a chance to turn it all around to do things that we love, things that we enjoy.
This week's blog is about my bucket list and why those specific things are part of my list. I wanted to share my bucket list with you and show you the importance of living in the moment and collecting moments and not only things. I believe in finding happiness in the smallest of experiences.
Start doing things you love, live for yourself, gather experiences and make memories. People say tomorrow isn't promised but I believe tomorrow is still far, the next hour isn't promised.
I have not fulfilled my list yet, I have completed few but I want to incorporate things I enjoy and experience life. If my loved ones were to describe me, they would tell you that I love adventures and doing things that I love, They would tell you how I believe living in the present moment and making memories. This is so important and one must understand the significance of enjoying their present moment. We often are racing in life to get everywhere but the brutal truth of life is that we can't have everything. A lot of times we will miss out on numerous things by trying to do so much, so why not enjoy the moments that you have in present and gather experiences and do things you love.
Below you will find my bucket list and my reasons behind each.
1. Sky diving
Jumping off an airplane is as scary as it sounds and many people will just run away from attempting it. A lot of people have no idea that I am scared of heights. The reason this is on my list is because I believe you should face your fear. There is a different type of magic free-falling from a plane. That adrenaline rush for the specific time period is so mesmerizing. It tends to give a different type of confidence boost and experience, many people have changed as a person after skydiving, they become more open minded for doing things that they initially would have been scared to attempt. Skydiving allows you to be in that specific moment and enjoy the experience by escaping reality momentarily. I believe it is a big stress reliever as well. Sky Diving gives you the chance to control your mind and learn to focus. The adrenaline that is released is part of our fight or flight reflex. Once this hormone is released you tend to have so much energy and become aware of your surroundings. Sky diving definitely provides you new perspective on life. To top it off, looking at the world from a bird's eye view will make you realize how small your worries are in the moment and how beautiful the world is.

2. Swimming with the dolphins
This is one of my favorite because I have always wanted to swim with the dolphins in Riviera Maya. Studies have also proved that swimming with animals allows to experience nature in a more unique manner. It lets you connect with nature in a complete different perception. It is also believed that dolphins and humans share a unique relation. Some of the characteristics that we share with them are parenting, and emotions. They thrive on touch also just like us humans do.

3. Travel to every continent
Travelling allows to experience life in a whole new way. Travelling allows you to meet new people and grasp different knowledge. You can experience new cultures, languages, and lifestyle. With all these new experiences you tend to feel a new purpose in life. A lot of people don't know what is their purpose in life, but travelling gives you the chance to find this purpose. Travelling to different place allows you to appreciate your home as well, some places that you might travel might not have the luxuries that you would have at home and this gives you a chance to appreciate all of those luxuries.

4. Go on a hot air balloon ride
This is something I really want to do one day, I think it is beautiful to see the world from a bird's eye view. You get to see how beautiful world looks from above by admiring the beauty. You get to enjoy mind blowing sights from above. The fresh air will make you feel so positive, enjoying the moment you're in and cherishing the air that you breathe. Fresh air also tends to improve your state of mind by releasing a hormone called serotonin which is a happy hormone in our body.

5. Giving a shelter pet home
I have personally checked this off. I had adopted a dog from the shelter and gave him a home with lots of love and care. I can't tell you the amazing impact this had in my life. His name was Spud and he passed away in Jan 2017. Not a day goes where he is not missed. Animals tend to give us the best memories and become such an important factor of our lives. Giving an animal a place called home will teach you compassion and value of enjoying the littlest of moments that life has to offer.

6. Cage Dive with the Great White Sharks
I have always wanted to do this. It would be such a thrilling experience I believe. The adrenaline rush would be insane to experience this phenomenal thing. Seeing the sharks in their natural habitat would be a great experience. I enjoy thrill and adventures so this would be something that I one day would want to try.

7. Sponsoring a child for education
Education is so important and I believe every child deserves this. I want to sponsor a child's education and allow him/her to study and become to their best potential. There are so many children who are so intelligent but are unable to attend school and get the education required, so this is something that definitely I would be doing. Helping someone will only give you peace.

8. Take up a sport
I have always been athletic when I was a child, but due to various reasons I stopped. I love playing sports and watching it also. I like going on adventures and doing new things by exploring. I have always wanted to join kick boxing class and it has been on my list for a very long time. This is an activity that I genuinely want to try and it is next on my to-do list. Kick boxing allows you be active along with boosting your confidence. I believe it is very important for women to learn self defense and I believe kick boxing would be perfect. You also burn major calories along with getting fit and toned. It also increases your energy and eye to hand coordination. But the biggest benefit is that it de-stresses you and builds discipline.

9. Go White Water Rafting
This is such an adventurous activity and an amazing way to experience the water and nature. The adrenaline boost is enormous in this activity. This is a must try to for anyone who loves thrills and seeks adventures. This activity allows you to focus on the moment and allows your brain to work in a way that would be astounding. It also reduces stress as it gives you a chance to escape reality for the duration. Nature allows you to relax and forget your worries for time being. White water rafting also gives you insane physical activity and tones your muscles especially when you paddle; your arms, shoulder and back are put into work which gives you a nice exercise. Honestly, if you feel you can't work well in teams then this activity will definitely make you an asset by the end of it. You learn about the strength and weakness of your team. White water rafting teaches discipline, and leadership skills so technically you're polishing your skills. But one of the major things that you will learn is that, like the water changes it's speed from high to low you will be able to reflect that life comes with highs and lows also but you just have to keep paddling.

10. Learn to Play an Instrument
I always wanted to learn to play an instrument and one of them being guitar. Learning an instrument helps in increased comprehension and mental capacities.

So that is all for my bucket list for this article. I actually have a huge list but these are some of the major ones that I would really like to fulfill. It is so important to live in the moment and do things that are off importance to you. Life is not guaranteed so live while you can. It is said that don't add days to your life but add life to your days. You can live 100 years but never really be happy and or even worst of not having lived at all, but you can live 50 years and live like every day is your last and make the most out of your days. Do what makes you happy, life is unpredictable and not guaranteed, have fun, fall in love try not to regret anything and don't let any one bring you down. If you read my first blog it was about Dalai Lama, and one thing that he said that really appealed to me was that us humans sacrifices our health in order to make money and then we sacrifice our money to fix our health, we are anxious about our future and don't enjoy the present. Humans tend to not live in the present nor future, they tend to live like they will never die and then dies never really having lived. Sometimes life is really about risking everything for a specific dream that no one other than you can see.
I hope you got an insight of my bucket list and my reasons behind each. This is life through my rose colored glasses. Always remember to collect moments and not things as I always say.
Share your bucket list with me, and ask yourself what is it that you really enjoy and follow your heart to that journey.
Life through perception.
